How To Fix Windows Live ID Sign-in Assistant wllogin_64.msi Gives UAC prompt & disappear

Its been a long time since Microsoft released "Windows Live ID Sign-in Assistant". This software used to offer the ability to save multiple credentials "Windows live IDs" on their machines as an Internet Explorer add-on. Microsoft released Windows Live ID Sign-in Assistant 6.5 beta for Windows 7. Since then everyone facing huge bugs. Some people can't install getting some kind of error message. Some people are unable to install because it gives UAC prompt & just disappear during installation

I'm trying to play a game that requires GFWL on my Windows 8 laptop. I got GFWL to install properly, but it prompts me to download "Windows Live ID Sign-in Assistant 6.5" before it can launch. It sends me to the following URL:

This specifically says Windows 7, but I tried installing it anyway. It gives me the UAC prompt, which I accept, and then the installer flashes on the screen and disappears before doing anything else. It didn't complete successfully, because launching GFWL gives the exact same error it gave last time, with a link to the same site.

I verified that the Windows Installer service is running.

How can I get this to install, or short of that, how can I get GFWL to work by skipping this step?

I would like to inform you that Windows Live ID Sign-in Assistant 6.5 is not supported for Windows 8.

You may try to download Windows Live ID Sign-in Assistant 6.5 from the following link and install it in compatibility mode and check.

Compatibility mode also doesn't work. Please help, I have just purchased GTA IV and looks like all my money is wasted.

2. Are you getting any error message or crashes happens?
3. What is the exact and complete error message?
4. How are you trying to play the game?

I have tried downloading the installation program multiple times from https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=15106 and when I try to start the installation it just closes without progressing or showing any error messages.

Compatibility mode: It was suggested to me that I should try to run the installation in Windows 7 Compatibility mode and running the installation as an administrator, but it didn't help.

Command prompt & tricks: It was suggested to try this: " On the "Start" menu, click "Run”.
In the "Open" box, type"msiexec /unreg", and then press ENTER.
On the "Start" menu, click"Run".
In the "Open" box, type"msiexec /regserver", and then press ENTER. "

Click start menu

Press Run

Insert this:

%SYSTEMROOT%\SYSTEM32\REGSVR32.EXE %SYSTEMROOT%\SYSTEM32\WUAUENG.DLL

&

Msiexec /i wllogin_32.msi /l*v C:\setupLogs.log NOMU=1

It seems I'm not the only one with this problem, but none of these things has helped me. I copy-pasted these from various places (many from Microsoft support sites).

After searching almost 24 hours on google I came up to that this issue cannot be fixed but I keep trying & found a fix for this.

Here's what I did to fix this

1: Download wllogin_64.msi or (32bit) from Microsoft Offical website

2: Download Advanced Installer (full version recommended)

Note: If you are using a trial version, it will install Live ID Sign-in Assistant successfully but when you open Windows Game For Live It will ask you to update Live ID Sign-in Assistant. So get a full version to fix this properly.

That's all we need. 

Install Advanced Installer

Then Right-click on wllogin_64.msi (32bit follow the same method) & go to Properties-->Compatibility & tick on "Run this program in compatible mode for "Previous version of Windows" 

Now open Advanced Installer & select "Open" then select "Open project" & choose wllogin_64.msi (32bit) 

Now go to product IDs

Click on Generate All

A message box will pop up. Click on "Continue"

Now click on "Run" & follow the installation process.
